NT update

Like most of Australia the NT has gone through significant challenges of late, thanks to a domestic led, post COVID 19 travel recovery.  Pent-up demand and reduced inventory due to staff shortages have seen significant price hikes. It was good to touch base with hoteliers and suppliers and rekindle old or form new relationships to get the low down on what's happening.  Everyone is run of their feet due to the demand, re-training new staff to cover attrition experienced as economic pressure during the Pandemic forced employees to look for other sources of income.  Many have left the Hotel and Tourism sectors althogether and replacing experienced staff is a lengthy challenge. Despite all of this optimism is high and domestic business is set to remain strong for the next 2 years at least, until recovery in overseas travel eases the pressue off.  TIP: get in early wih your group bookings as the next years allocations are filling up fast!
